This is the Columbia (Blythwood), SC garden of Jim and Peggy Jeffcoat ( http://www.singingoakesgarden.com ). They were instrumental in my developing an interest in hybridizing the daylily which evolved into my print making and this fine art website. You will eventually find prints of Jeffcoat introduced cultivars within this series. The first two prints are, however, images found among their daylily beds. “Wore Out” and “Old Man Sol” are but two of their natural, three dimensional compositions which enhance their garden.
“Spread Your Wings” is a beautiful spider form daylily. I chose to come in tight and place the emphasis on the center of the flower as well as the gentle rolling of the peddles instead of displaying the entire bloom and its form. This is another large print which will hold its own on a wall by itself or with other prints.
