I am delighted that I have the opportunity to present several of my fine art prints to you for your enjoyment and consideration to purchase.  I hope you enjoy the finished products of my artistic passion as much as I have enjoyed creating them. Over the past several years, the advent of the Giclee print process has revolutionized the fine art business.

With this one technological development, the affordability of quality fine art prints has been reduced to allow many art patrons to purchase and enjoy a fine art collection in their own home.  A trip to an art museum is no longer the only way to enjoy the visual arts.  Additionally, the Giclee process has introduced archival quality to the print.  It is not unusual to learn that a giclee art print will not fade or shift color for 200 years.  This truly makes the Giclee print a collectable and valuable acquisition.

A second impact this technology has had on the fine art business is that the artist no longer has to print all his copies in a single press run.  It is now possible to make one print at a time; usually after it has been ordered and paid for.  This removes the initial cost burden to the artist and allows many more talented artists to engage in creating fine art prints and increases the choices available to you, the buying public.

It is my primary goal to provide quality fine art prints to the market at affordable prices.  Everyone has a wall that needs a point of interest.  Everyone has a need for a really nice gift to give a friend or even themselves that will not deplete their budget.

I am not a wet paint artist.  I am a photographer.  I have, for years, searched for a vehicle upon which I could present my work.  The straight photographic process cut my creative vision off too soon.  It ended with a silver based print that had a very limited life and was better suited published in a book.

But then I discovered the giclee process and PhotoShop software.  After ten years of exploring and developing my skills in PhotoShop, I have found what I was looking for.

You will find here a collection of giclee prints that started as photographs and have been manipulated via PhotoShop into digital paintings.  I have chosen a Gallery Print format to differentiate my work from that of a wet paint artist.  Most of these images took many days to create.  Just as with painted images, each has an emotional bases and has been influenced by the eye of the artist.  Please enjoy them.  They are available here as fine art giclee prints on 100% cotton rag art paper.  Each print is numbered (limited to 50 per image) and signed and is an archival print with a 150 year no fade potential.  Please enjoy your tour and don’t hesitate in contacting me (seaislandman@islc.net) if you have any questions or comments.       Gordon Fritz
