Many of these bird images originated from my front deck. My home is a 3 story structure on the edge of the salt marsh and provides great views of the bird life in the tree tops. One will often recognize the same old dead live oak upon which many of my subjects perch. This Heron, however, took it upon himself to get even closer and landed on the railing at the edge of the deck. I know that many viewers appreciate the hours I have invested in traipsing through the forest and marshes so that I can get that special image to share with them. I do what I have to do to satisfy my quest.
